Optical Engines
QSFP "Paddle Board" Subassembly
"Paddle board" sub-assemblies are used for the fabrication of active optical cables. These subassemblies are simply the "inside" of an active optical cable plug, and perform the electrical to optical signal conversion. Completion of the cables only requires the gluing of the fibers and the addition of the plug enclosure / fiber strain relief.
