The LightFinity optical engine technology is based on a low cost, low power miniature parallel optical engine. The engine is protocol agnostic and supports up to 10Gb/s per optical lane - number of lanes can vary. Current engines use up to 8 lanes (4 transmit / 4 receive data lanes).
Power per module is 600mW typical for a 40Gb/s transceiver at ambient temperature. Distances up to 100m at 40Gb/s are supported. Our optical engine technology results in a very small optical assembly. It can fit in a large variety of active optical cable form factors, such as USB3.0 or HDMI cables, SFP+, QSFP or PCIe. Some versions are designed for direct mounting on PCB boards for very dense interconnect applications.
